20 young photographers form the group ›Kill Your Darlings‹. All studied with Peter Bialobrzeski at the College of Arts in Bremen. The group´s name indicates the self-image and way of working: good pictures, or even favorites, get eliminated from a series, if they don´t contribute to the intended message.
The very active group has, curated by Ute Noll, exhibited their work on several occasions and now under the title ›Kill Your Darlings‹ a book is published, which contains one series of each photographer of the group. The issues and the positions are very diverse, but most interesting is to see how the group maintains internal examination and seeks the dialogue with the audience.
The book also contains several text records on the above described method.
